CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Maintaining Your
Lavoro Leather Goods

Adhering to these instructions ensures that your leather goods retain their opulence and durability, remaining timeless treasures for years to come.

  • Vegetable-tanned leather is sensitive to water.  To maintain its natural beauty, do your best to shield your leather product from moisture. Should it encounter water, gently blot it with a soft, dry cloth and allow it to dry naturally in a cool, shaded area away from direct heat sources.

  • The distinct tones of your leather can fade under prolonged direct sunlight. When not in use, store your leather product in a shaded, cool place to preserve its luxurious finish.

  • High humidity can be detrimental to leather products, as it fosters mold and mildew. Store your leather goods in a cool, dry place when not in use. Encase them in breathable fabric bags or pillowcases to protect against dust, avoiding plastic bags that can trap moisture and lead to mold.

  • Gently dust your leather treasures with a soft, microfiber cloth. This prevents dirt buildup and maintains the leather’s clean surface.

  • If you have a minor spot or spill on your leather product, use a slightly damp, soft cloth to delicately dab the affected area. Avoid rubbing to prevent the stain from spreading. Allow the leather to air dry naturally.

  • To maintain your leather's appearance, apply Lavoro Leather Balm every three to six months, or as needed. Dab a small amount of balm onto a soft cloth and gently rub it into the leather in circular motions. Allow it to absorb for a few hours, then buff to a soft sheen with a clean, dry cloth.

  • Stuff leather goods with acid-free tissue paper to preserve their shape. Be careful not to overstuff, as this can stretch and distort the leather.

  • Always handle your leather goods with clean hands to prevent oils and dirt from tarnishing their finish.

  • Avoid sharp objects that could scratch or puncture the leather’s delicate surface.

  • Vegetable-tanned leather gracefully develops a unique patina over time, adding to its character and elegance. Embrace this natural aging process as it enhances the bespoke charm of your leather goods.
